Literature as an instrument in education is a great help for solving issues and problems about sustainable development. Having Literature in higher education is important for students because it enables them to know and deeply understand the past life of the people, their ethical practices and culture.
With enough knowledge about literature, students could make their own strategies on how to help in sustainable development such as, composing song which are related on how to protect and develop our environment, writing stories, and poems which could influence and touch the feelings of others, for them to value and have concern on what is happening in our environment today.
Literature as part of education could persuade students to be involved in solving environmental problems, poverty and other current issue about sustainable development. Learning literature could provide different ways for those who are interested to share and exchange ideas on social responsibility, sustainability, poverty, culture and green technology.
